And it's awesome! Its sure makes a boxy apartment more exciting. We even call our kitchen "The Hideaway Café" and created a fancy menu that we post our meals on rather than the simple spreadsheet we used before. Yes, we are just that awesome. :)
Because we're moving in three days (*note...we started writing this post months ago...sorry!), we realized we needed to document this place before it is no longer our place. Join us on a tour of the one...the only..."The Hideaway"!

If you keep looking the very cute couple disappears...
...and reappears in front of their front door. POOF! Oh look how cute they are!
Welcome to the Hideaway!
This is our dining room complete with table and chairs (thank you Ashley!) and flowers (given to Sandy by Joshua last summer...and she took them all the way to Rexburg, Boise and now here!).

The complementary candy of the week is green apple Tootsie Rolls. Sorry there are not too many left...we got a little hungry. (Yes, Sandy lives in this house. Would you expect anything different?)
Speaking of food, have you seen our new menu? This week we are serving black bean soup, homemade hot pockets (BBQ Chicken, Buffalo Chicken, Pesto goodness...yum!) and Island Carbonara (Joshua's delicious variation which includes grilled pineapple and red pepper flakes - oh yeah!), and many many more delicious meals. Any plans for dinner?
This is our cat, Prince Charles, given to us by our good friends, the Despains. He holds our wedding rings while we are cooking and cleaning. Due to his wonderful good nature and painted on fur, he is the only cat allowed in the house.
We love this fun teapot! (Thanks Becky and Koy!) It really brightens up the room.

The microwave we lived without for three months until Gram saved us! Oh, how we had taken microwaves for granted! We were happy to say goodbye to heating up our already hot house just to warm up leftovers.

On our first day in this apartment, I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and almost had a heart attack. Right by the towels was a HUGE spider. I seriously had to wake up Joshua to kill it. He's so great and did it without complaint. What a great welcome, don't you think?
And that's it! It was a great place to start our marriage. We loved having two of our really good friends as neighbors, we had great management, and the apartment was perfect for the two of us. We'll miss it, but look forward to our next big adventure.
